Kedarnath Bhattacharya, or Kumar Sanu as known professionally, holds the record for winning five consecutive Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer from 1991 to 1995. He holds the Guinness World Record for recording the maximum number of songs (28 songs) in a single day since 1993. Sanu’s breakthrough came in 1990, in the form of the film Aashiqui, with hit songs like “Sanson Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise,” ‘Nazar Ke Saamne,’ and “Ab Tere Bin Jee Lenge Hum.” It is estimated that Kumar Sanu has recorded over 25,000 songs in Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and others.
